Exciting Announcement!

Autism Belize, in partnership with Hands All In, is launching FREE Virtual Parent Coaching Sessions for families of children with autism, developmental delays, or other special education needs and disabilities!

 Important to Note:

  • This is not therapy. Instead, you will meet with an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Therapist who will guide you in learning strategies to support your child at home.

  • These sessions are for parents only—your child does not need to attend.

  • You will be expected to practice and implement the strategies shared during coaching sessions with your child.

Commitment Matters:

When registering, you may choose one or both of the following tracks:
 Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Coaching
AND/OR
 Occupational Therapy (OT) Coaching
By registering, you agree to attend all scheduled sessions in your selected track. Sessions are held once per month (once for Speech and once for Occupational Therapy), and spaces are limited.
To register, use the registration below. Please only complete registration if you are confident you can attend all sessions and fully participate.

This is a very real concern

“Over the years, there have been many things Mateo has done that brought me to the brink of a heart attack. But one recurring worry…wandering. Studies show that 49% of children on the autism spectrum have a tendency to wander or bolt from safe settings. And since our children have little or no sense of danger, drowning is the leading cause of death in our kids, followed by traffic accidents, followed by dehydration, heat strokes, hypothermia, and falls. This is a very real concern.
My son is nonverbal. He can say his first name, but beyond that he can’t tell you
where he lives, who his momma is, what is his phone number. He could probably show you HOW to get to his house, but would he? And would a stranger even understand?”
—Christy, autism mom
